Let's go to Montgomery Inn to watch some Wheel!
We went to Montgomery Inn the Saturday before my birthday with my in-laws. De-licious. We were seated upstairs and saw the end of the unfortunate Ohio State football loss too Illinois.
Following that game, the television in our upstairs room had been switched to Wheel of Fortune. (Yes, that Wheel of Fortune.)
UC (as in University of Cincinnati, the Big East school located in the same city as Montgomery Inn, whose future-hall-of-fame former coach hosted a weekly radio program at Montgomery Inn for many many years) had a basketball game starting at 7 PM. As tip-off time came and went, we asked our server why the television was still showing Wheel. He left to check with a manager. He returned later to inform us that due to some insurmountable technical problem related to how difficult it would be to physically change the channel on that television, it could not be tuned to the UC basketball game.
So, if all the local sports teams' memorabilia has given you the impression that Montgomery Inn is THE place to watch sports in Cincinnati, think again. It's ALSO a great place to go and watch broadcast network game shows in Hi-Def while local sports teams are playing games on other channels, possibly even on cable channels that you don't have at home.
